The main tasks for the Test Automation Lead will be:

• Checking Manual Tests for automation feasibility
• Developing automated tests to support the Global Tax Projects
• Providing technical guidance and expertise to team members and/or colleagues
• Supporting and resolving issues that may arise in the existing Test Automation Framework
• Providing recommendations that help in the improvement of processes and practices
• Helping with debugging test results from automation runs to ensure bugs are raised from failed tests
• Identifying and reporting issues and risks associated with own work
• Creating, delivering, and interpreting reports on metrics to project leads

The Candidate should have:

• Ability to:
  • Quickly understand the application under test and the existing test automation framework
  • Clearly communicate both issues and proposed solutions
  • Work independently and interact/communicate with stakeholders to complete tasks
  • Understand and integrate with cultural differences and engage with virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams
• A proactive approach to identify issues and presenting options for solutions, and when agreed upon by the team, lead the implementation of the resolution proposed
• At least 3 years of applied experience in the following:
  • Working on a Page Object Model Design framework
  • Selenium/C# using Visual Studio (Java OK if willing to convert to C#)
  • Working in an Agile environment with an understanding of Azure Dev Ops (VSTS)
  • Developing API Tests using MSTest or NUnit, including using Postman and/or Swagger
• Strong programming and technical experience, as this role, will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers
• Professional background with:
  • BrowserStack
  • Keyword automation architectures
  • PowerBI
• Experience with:
  • Testing a microservice applications
  • MAQS Automation Framework
  • Building and maintaining Test Automation frameworks
• Knowledge of:
  • Tools and processes for results reporting
  • Tax Industry
  • Quality Assurance Best Practices
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Educational background with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, or finance preferred or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of relevant QA experience (manual and automation)
