Seargin is looking for a Senior Security Engineer

• Location: Katowice (due to pandemia, currently work can be performed remotely)

Main tasks for the Senior Security Engineer will be:

• Discuss, overview and audit the appropriate application of security rules and methods with product groups
• Research actual security trends in Industrial Control Systems, embedded systems, hardware design, cloud-to-edge, and application security and cooperate with security experts to guarantee proper security requirements are put in place.
• Take a role of security thought leader by coaching internal personnel and influencing correct security development methods and technologies
• Provide guidance to senior levels of management regarding product security risk and exposure

The Candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related educational field
• Minimum 5 years of application or software development experience in a professional environment, or an similar graduate degree
• At least 2 years of experience in presenting Security Development Lifecycle concepts (ie./ secure code reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, etc)
• Presented knowledge in the application of both software engineering and security rules, theories, concepts, and methods
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• General knowledge of industrial control systems
• Significant communication skills
• Understanding and experience applying security standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and/or IEC 62443 – Security certificates such as CISSP, CEH, Applicable GIAC Certifications, OSCP, CySec Specialist (TÜV Rheinland), or similar
• Knowledge of communication protocols, preferably Ethernet or Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), and modern Intel and ARM architectures
• Advanced coursework or practice associated with secure software engineering, application security, cloud security, embedded systems, and securing operating software
