Seargin is looking for a Penetration Tester

The main tasks for the Penetration Tester will be:

• Examine possible logic attack scenarios by way of interpreting code review results, and analyzing test results
• Developing novel tools/automation of attacks for project-specific needs
• Reverse engineering, hardware hacking, and black-box style testing against embedded systems
• Conducting research and contributing to the open-source community on new attack methods and discovered vulnerabilities
• Communication of complex susceptibility results to technical and non-technical audiences

The Candidate should have:

• Strong experience in programming languages (Python, C, C++, Java) or another high-level language
• Familiarity with:
• low-level protocols like SPI, JTAG, and UART
• cryptography
• Familiarity with the architecture of embedded PC such as ARM and with programming in assembler
• Experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing in embedded and/or non-embedded domains
• Experience in reverse engineering at the system binary level (POSIX, WinAPI) and reviewing source code
• Past contributions to open source projects, CVE reports, conference publications
• Certificates, such as OSCP (optional)
• Experience in automotive systems (optional)
• Great English skills in written and spoken
• Capability to work autonomously under minimal supervision and to work as part of a team
• Fluency in the use of security testing tools like disassemblers, flash dumper, JTAG finders
• Communication of complex susceptibility results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Structured and systematic way of dealing with projects
• Conducting research and contributing to the open-source community on new attack methods and discovered vulnerabilities
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge of the German language
