Seargin is looking for a Guidewire Java Architect

• Position: Guidewire Java Architect

Main tasks for the Guidewire Java Architect will be:

• Working as a Senior and participating in various streams of implementation projects
• Planning and controlling of the project deliverables from the team
• Cooperating with team members, mentoring the project team to plan, develop and deploy project activities to achieve project and client goals
• Managing relationships with the client, key stakeholders, subject matter experts
• Administering the performance management for the direct reportees, as per the organization policies
• Taking part in the organization-wide people initiatives

The Candidate should have:

• Finance or Insurance industry experience of 4 years and more
• Significant business communication, contact with a client, leadership and project management capabilities
• Experience in Java, JEE, Web Services (SOAP and REST), Database development (both SQL and noSQL)
• Operative experience in one of the market leading integration platform and message brokers (e.g. Tibco, WebMethods, IBM AppConnect, ServiceMix, ActiveMQ etc.)
• Experience with
  • designing microservices in large scale
  • designing a Cloud solutions in Azure and/or AWS
  • agile / scrum methodology
  • data lakes
  • real-time data processing and data warehousing aggregation
  • various Azure Cloud products and services
• Willingness to travel to the customers locations on need basis – after pandemic ends
• Excellent English language verbal and written communication
• Ability to simplify design discussions and discuss architectural decisions
• Appropriate skills to talk about technical matters clearly and successfully to both technical and non-technical audiences, win supporters and spur people to action.
• Experience in creating reliable solution plans in a cooperation with business and multi-disciplinary teams: costs estimation, delivery approaches
• Proven strategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging problems related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies
• Team and detail-oriented, productive and solution-oriented attitude
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and also in a team

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Experience in another programming language
• Guidewire knowledge
• Certificates proving certain skills: TOGAF, ArchiMate, COBIT etc.
• German or other European language skills
