Seargin is looking for an Embedded Tester

• Position: Embedded Tester

• Location: Hybrid in Cracow (3 days of remote work per week)

The main tasks for the Embedded Tester will be:

• Create, execution, and scripting test cases for TropOS MeshOS embedded software which includes configuration management, process management, interface controllers and kernel/TCP/IP modules, and system characterization
• Integration and testing of the above with Tropos wireless solution
• Writing detailed test plans, reviewing, executing them, and reporting errors with detailed information
• Project and test complex testbeds with appropriate networking configurations reflecting client environments to verify network, and security functionality
• Collaborate with the engineering team to replicate client environments on lab testbeds
• Cooperate with customer service to escalate technical issues, reproduce problems in the lab, and perform root cause analysis
• Cooperate with the development team in problem typing and early project validation

The Candidate should have:

• Thorough knowledge of Linux OS tools and utilities, wireless and Ethernet drivers
• Familiarity with and practical experience with automated test environments and programs to reduce time-to-market for software releases and improve product quality
• Ability to write scripts in at least one of the languages:
• Python (preferred)
• Perl
• Expect
• Tcl
• Knowledge of:
• 11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi function
• MIMO
• RF
• 1x
• 11e protocols and/or 802.15.4 based technologies
• Experience in:
• Data Networking Skills – VLAN / IPSEC / VPN / L2 Broadcast
• Routing
• Switching
• TCP/IP protocol
• IP addressing (DHCP, NAT, etc)
• Outstanding written and oral communications abilities
• Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize numerous tasks
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)
