The main tasks for the Cloud Platform Engineer will be:

• Enhancing, tracking, maintaining and expanding the various elements of the Cloud Data Ecosystem infrastructure e.g., cloud storage, queues and databases
• Ensuring that the Data Ecosystem is secure, stable, cost effective and scalable
• Participating in proof of concepts and evaluating new tools and technologies, working with architects to establish guidelines and standards for the Data Ecosystem
• Examining automated alerts, as well as incidents reported by data engineers and data scientists
• Developing and continuously improving shared code libraries and other tools to support data engineers and data scientists

The Candidate should have:

• Knowledge of scripting using Python for data solutions, e.g., NumPy, or Pandas
• Familiarity in deploying, maintaining, monitoring and securing cloud resources using Azure
• Ability to communicate efficiently with various type of stakeholders while using English on daily basis
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Some experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Databricks, NiFi, Docker, and Azure CLI
