The main tasks for the Cloud Operations Specialist will be:

• ​Supporting daily operations of our Big Data Cloud Platform Services and ensuring stability, security and scalability.
• Leading the industrialization of various manufacturing and logistic cloud based platforms by further automation of deployment, configuration, upgrade and maintenance processes.
• Developing new platform features to support (cost) monitoring, logging and alerting as well as the implementation of new operations related processes.
• Developing scripts for automation (deployment, configuration) and monitoring, as well as providing expert product support to business units (e.g. root-cause analysis of non-standard issues).
• Testing and evaluating new product features in close alignment with project stakeholders, internal customers and vendors.
• Consulting internal customers on technical level regarding tool selection, code quality, connectivity topics and workload performance.

The Candidate should have:

• Professional Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g. Azure Services, Azure CLI, Azure DevOps)
• Experience in
  • Working on larger projects, including multiple customers and international teams
  • Cloud or infrastructure operation
• Knowledge of
  • Version control tools (e.g. GIT, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • IT monitoring and logging techniques and relevant technology stack (e.g. Grafana)
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge of:
  • One scripting language (e.g. Bash or Python)
  • Cloud Security
