Mapping success with SAP Signavio and LeanIX

At the SAP Innovation Day event, we had the opportunity to give a presentation on the use of SAP Signavio and LeanIX in preparations for the implementation of SAP in the organization based on our experiences.

Continuous process transformation becomes the basis for sustainable competitive advantage. In this context, time to reach a conclusion and time to adapt are key elements to becoming an intelligent enterprise.

The system is being implemented in accordance with the SAP Activate methodology. According to this methodology, there are several phases: Discover, Prepare, Design, Realize, Deploy, and Run.

During the first two phases, we utilized SAP Signavio tools extensively. In the Discover phase, we began with a thorough analysis of business processes using SAP Signavio Process Manager and SAP Signavio Process Intelligence. This allowed us to conduct an “ERP readiness” assessment, ensuring that our business processes are aligned with the best practices and are ready for ERP implementation. We assessed compliance with the standard based on SAP best practices and process models, process documentation, process-related implementation accelerators, country- and industry-specific implementation scope.

How to further use the tool?

Design:

Modeling and collaborating on the future state (TO BE). Creating and analyzing business processes in SAP Signavio Process Manager.

Realize:

Implementing process improvements. Create workflows and approval processes with SAP Signavio. Process Governance Identification of areas to improve.

Deploy:

Implementation management (Go Live). Access and visibility of processes thanks to SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub.

Run:

Monitoring and continuous improvement (SAP Process Intelligence, and in the future SAP Process Insights). Using process analysis to optimize process operation.

Additionally, we are integrating LeanIX into our transformation strategy. LeanIX provides us with comprehensive enterprise architecture management, allowing us to map out our IT landscape and understand the interdependencies between our various systems and processes. This integration is crucial for maintaining a holistic view of our transformation journey.

Our business transformation uniquely combines the perspectives of people, customers, and systems. By focusing on these three dimensions, we ensure that our transformation is not just technically sound but also aligned with the needs and expectations of all stakeholders involved. This approach helps us deliver a seamless and efficient transformation that drives value across the organization.

This approach bridges the gap between the business world and the IT world. By aligning business processes with IT capabilities, we create a cohesive environment where strategic goals are supported by robust technical solutions. This synergy between business and IT is essential for driving innovation and achieving sustainable growth.
