Following program results
As part of a global Enterprise Resource Planning Program the Pharmaceutical Division of an international corporation implemented SAP R/3 and BW as their new ERP platform. This program consisted of 39 Roll-Outs to local country subsidiaries based on a global template and was deployed in less than 4 years from the initial planning. Today more than 10.000 users are working in eight regional system environments (each consists of a development, quality assurance/ test and production system).
Automation
was achieved through redesign of the logistics processes resulting in global transparency as well as smooth Supply Chain processes.
Standardization
of the financial system environment together with a related reporting structure led to optimized and efficient group reporting based on a consistent source of data.
Reduced
complexity and maintenance cost of the IT environment.

The program started with a template design phase where unified core processes and rules, related to the organizational structure and data, were defined.

The template design was supported by business experts and IT representatives working together with a team of highly experienced SAP consultants. The defined business processes and supporting ERP standards became the foundation for process harmonization during the deployment to the company’s subsidiaries.

A global reporting structure was implemented in SAP Business Warehouse. Data from local SAP applications was transferred and consolidated into six regional Business Warehouse clients.

The global Business Warehouse receives its data from the regional clients to generate global reports. Based on this IT-architecture, it was possible to substantially reduce the time and effort needed for month- and year-end reporting.

In parallel a solution to harmonize product master data was developed and implemented using SAP. As a result of implementing central organizational units and a central SAP application, it became possible to maintain relevant master data centrally and automatically distribute it to all subsidiaries without manual intervention.

Seargin was responsible for the design of the Business Warehouse Architecture as well as for the implementation of the processes and data structures contained within the Business Warehouse Application.

The global Supply Chain Management Solution as well as the Global Master Data Solution were conceptually designed and implemented by Seargin.
