The main tasks for the Technical Writer will be:

• ​Taking responsibility for the documentation (HTML5 online help) of software solutions in the area of Identity & Access Management.
• Creating and maintaining client documentation in line with Documentation Style Guide in a Content Management System for professional documentation (Smart Media Creator)
• Defining and enriching terms used in documentation, user interfaces, and other areas (English and German)
• Coordinating translation projects with external language service providers
• Supporting on-demand internal team documentation in Atlassian Confluence
• Constantly developing the meta data concept and the Documentation Style Guide , and working on future concepts for customer documentation in the area of Identity Management
• Continuously improving the Content Management System, e.g. configuration of the software, implementation of new updates or requirements in consultation with external vendor and internal operations team.

The Candidate should have:

• University degree in technical writing, language studies, communication or similar
• Professional working background for 2+ years
• Solid knowledge of
  • Principles of functional design, topic-based authoring, meta data concepts
  • Content Management Systems like Smart Media Creator or similar (Schema ST4, Author it, Cosima Go!, MadCap Flare)
• Demonstrated capability of explaining complex software functions to customers in an easy and consistent way
• Open to working in an international environment and to constantly adopting new information
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English and German skills (written and spoken)
