Seargin is looking for a Support Engineer
- Position: Support Engineer
- Technologies: Linux/Unix, DevOps, PaaS
- Location: Hybrid (Bydgoszcz) or Remote
- Country: Poland

- Experience level: Senior
The main tasks for the Support Engineer will be:
- Resolving problems & managing defects
- Being a technical expert and providing solutions as part of the problem management process
- Coordinating problem resolution with R&D and customer support teams
- Performing acceptance tests for problem solutions, software upgrade/backup/restore/disaster recovery
- Taking part in on-call duty service
- Collaborating with product teams as a point of contact at a technical level
- Lab reconfiguring and provisioning
- Developing & maintaining documentation (methods of procedures (MOPs), FAQs, ...)
The Candidate should have:
- Good technical diagnostic/ debugging/ integrator skills
- Eagerness to learn quickly about multi-cloud environments
- At least 6 years of customer technical support experience
- University degree in Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Software Technology or equivalent experience
- Professional background in software design or system tests or integration of complex systems - DevOps/ CI/ CD
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix OS (command line)
- Capability to prioritize tasks
- Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
- Great English skills (written and spoken)
It would be a plus if the Candidate had:
- Background with public cloud such as AWS, OpenShift, Azure or GCP
- Coding competences (e.g. Bash, Ansible, Python, GO, ...)
- Knowledge of:
- Cloud and microservices e.g. OpenStack, K8s, Docker
- JIRA/ Confluence/ Git/ Gerrit/ Jenkins
- Fault management
- Other professional knowledge and work experience
