Seargin is looking for a Software Developer

The main tasks for the Software Developer  will be:

• Designing and enhancing applications in Java, working with architecture based on Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design concepts
• Performing analysis of current systems, solutions, business processes, and requirements in close cooperation with internal stakeholders as well as external partners
• Transforming existing commercial applications from the current technology stack (procedural) to the new state-of-the-art Cloud platform
• Preparing automated tests (unit tests, database tests, integration based on selenium), code coverage of at least 80% of code lines
• Working on all areas of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, testing, rollout, maintenance, 3rd level support)
• Directly cooperating with colleagues from all around the world (some traveling expected)

The Candidate should have:

• University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Good object programming and Java skills (including knowledge of JPA, CDI, JTA, JAX-RS, Servlet, Messaging, Batch & Stream processing, Logging & Monitoring )
• Background in software design and modeling tools (e.g. UML)
• Relational databases and SQL skills
• Good knowledge of software development processes flexibility and high customer orientation
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Background in:
  • Agile software development using, e.g., Scrum or KANBAN framework
  • Designing distributed computing and web services architectures and building large scale applications
  • Test-driven development
• Familiarity with:
  • Cloud-based technologies (AWS & IBM) and microservice development
  • Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Messaging (Apache Kafka)
• Professional background in or knowledge of international logistics context
• Polish and German language skills
