Seargin is looking for a Senior Java Engineer

• Position: Senior Java Engineer
• Location: Katowice (due to pandemia, currently work can be performed remotely)
• Form of employment: Permanent employment
• Skills: Java 8 or Java 11 (preferrably), Microservices, Java EE, Java Swing, SQL Server/ Oracle, Eclipse and IntelliJ, GitLab, SVN, Maven, ANT, JUnit, Jenkins, Microsoft Azure, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence etc.)

Main tasks for the Technial Writer will be:

• Develops and documents code, according to the improvement process, that fulfill requirements of the software design.
• Improve and executes thorough unit test plans. Reports, analyzes, debugs and fix issues. Integrates with other components, finds solutions for issues across subsystems and products, to produce a final version of it.
• Take part in in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
• Preparing work estimates and status reports as requested. Maintains equal interaction to guarantee assigned objectives are prioritized correctly.
• Successful work with others by mutual support for professional relationships, open and direct communication, honesty and respect.

The Candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related educational field
• Minimum 4 years in a software product development area
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented designs in Java coding language internals including class loading, memory management, transaction management, asynchronous message handling, multithreading, localization, etc.
• Experience with
  • object focused analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Java 8
  • microservices architecture
  • Cloud platforms (knowledge of Microsoft Azure preferred)
• Database design and programming skills in SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Significant skills with common development technologies such as Eclipse, SVN, GitLab, JUnit, JIRA, Jenkins, ANT

• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Experience with Java 11 or higher, Spring
• Experience in UI development with Java Swing clients and web technologies (Vaadin, JavaScript, Angular, React)
• Familiarity with common development tools as IntelliJ, Maven, agile development processes
• Main knowledge in the Industrial Automation environment including MES applications
