The main tasks for the Senior Data Engineer will be:

• ​Studying, identifying, and executing the complete technical plan for data flows and models within our central purchasing data warehouse
• Supporting standardization and automation through best practices and development standards
• Providing the quality and speed of software development by adhering to DevOps principles, using continuous integration and delivery, as well as unit tests and automated test plans.
• Maintaining parts of the software by regularly reviewing, maintaining, and refactoring various components and deployments
• Collaborating and technically guiding our international team of data engineers
• Support company-wide consistency by working with solution, business, and enterprise architects

The Candidate should have:

• Minimum 3 years of working background with:
  • Database development and basic administration
    • Microsoft SQL Server (preferred) PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
  • ETL/ELT development within Microsoft Stack (SSIS, ADF or plain T-SQL)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in
  • Distributed, agile software development (Git)
  • Code refactoring and query troubleshooting and optimization (e.g., isolating code blocks, root cause determination, and developing remediation actions).
  • Working with OLAP cubes and analytical models. E.g., SSAS/Power BI Tabular Model
• 1 year of experience with data analytics languages:
  • DAX (preferred), R, Scala, Python
• Familiarity with web services and interchange interfaces. E.g., WSDL and REST
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)
