The main tasks for the Quality System Specialist will be:

• Conducting the maturation of quality management systems and their successful recertifications
• Developing solutions to a wide range of complex problems by applying established policies and procedures
• Delivering education/training on quality services (e.g., audits, problem investigations, continuous improvement, corrective and preventive action) and quality management principles
• In collaboration with business stakeholders, developing metrics that provide quantitative measures of process health to enable data-driven decision-making
• Performing audits (i.e., product, system, and process) to determine compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 9001, DO-200, AS9100) as well as regulatory and customer requirements
• Working with higher level management to deploy process improvements affecting multiple organizations and locations
• Conducting root cause investigations and ensuring completion of corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinating reporting and providing trend analysis for non-conformance incidences
• Constantly striving to expand and improve personal knowledge of quality management best practices

The Candidate should have:

• Ability to work onsite at least 1-2 days per week with cross-functional team members
• Working background in
  • Implementing and/or maintaining a quality management system (minimum 6 years)
  • Utilizing process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (minimum 3 years)
• Experience in applying metrics to measure performance ensuring high quality delivery
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Experience in aviation
• Certification
  • ISO-9001:2015 lead auditor
  • ASQ, CQA or other professional certifications
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
• Experience working with
  • RTCA DO-200A/ED-76 and AC 20-153A
  • SAFe or Agile teams
