Seargin is looking for a Network Engineer

  • Position: Network Engineer
  • Technologies: Encryption/Ciphers, Communication protocols (SSL vs TLS), Network ports-protocols (TCP/UDP)
  • Localization: Remotely

Main tasks for the Network Engineer will be:
  • Analyzing vulnerability reports to identify the servers that are using obsolete communication protocols (SSL, TLS v1.0 and 1.1)
  • Mapping between the servers that are using obsolete protocols and the applications involved
  • Defining a process to improve the obsolete protocols: preproduction, tests/UAT and production
  • Defining the tests to assure that the upgrades will not impact production environment
  • Upgrading the Ciphers to make them compliant with the Standards
  • Identifying issues/risks, defining action plans to cover them and escalate when necessary
  • Tracking and coordinating projects tasks and daily activities
  • Reporting project status along with challenges/issues
  • Defining a monthly BAU process to make sure that any new server is compliant with the encryption standard and track the remediation if not

The Candidate should have:
  • About 5-10 years of experience
  • Professional background with / knowledge of:
    • Encryption/Ciphers
    • Communication protocols (SSL vs TLS).
    • Network ports-protocols (TCP/UDP)
    • Systems configuration (basic knowledge)
    • Asset management (CMDB, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of the following tools: Qualys, ServiceNow
  • Readiness to work in New York time zone
  • Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
  • Superb analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capability to communicate with technical teams, application teams and the Management
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Great English and Spanish skills
