The main tasks for the Kafka Consultant will be:

• Developing and configuring Kafka functions and components according to the architecture plan in close collaboration with the team
• Integrating Kafka components and new features with existing development completed by other project members
• Advising and implementing upgrades, features or suggestions based on the current development plan
• Validating and implementing the newly developed features
• Leading and mentoring other members on Kafka or other topics
• Creating technical documentation for reference
• Sharing the knowledge with other team members

The Candidate should have:

• Professional working background in implementing, maintaining, monitoring and securing Apache Kafka / Confluent platform
• Knowledge of Python and/or Java
• Familiarity with database solutions and SQL - ksqlDB, Synapse or other database language
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Experience in containerization, preferably AKS
• Familiarity with Azure and Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Terraform
• Working background in Agile in a diverse, international team
