The main tasks for the Java Developer will be:

• Estimating user stories/functions (story point estimation) and tasks in hours with the required level of accuracy and committing them
• Participating in refinement meetings by rapidly asking right questions to ensure that requirements reach the correct level of readiness
• Working with the Product Owner to confirm that the code and acceptance tests reflect the expected functionality
• Reporting any encountered obstacles/risks (technical/operational/personal) and reaching Scrum Master/Technical Architect/Product Owner to find a solution
• Updating the status and the remaining efforts for your tasks daily
• Ensuring that change requests are handled properly and tracked in the system, impact analysis performed and risks/schedules are correctly communicated
• Developing and delivering working software towards committed objectives and plans, in accordance with expected quality standards
• Designing and evolving the system to support testability and test automation
• Working on prototyping and evaluating technical feasibility
• Supporting CI/CD processes

The Candidate should have:

• Knowledge of
  • Java 8
  • Java EE 7
  • Gradle
  • Relational database: PostgreSQL
  • Rest, Servlet approach
• Familiarity with Bash scripting
• Expertise in container solutions: Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Some practice with Python
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge of the test framework Spock
• Experience with Weblogic server 12c+
• Knowledge of GIT (Bitbucket, git-flow will be a plus)
