Seargin is looking for a Java Developer

  • Position: Java Developer

Main tasks for the Java Developer will be:
  • Work in a multidisciplinary, global team (DevOps).
  • Developing new software and adapting existing software
  • Taking a proactive role during grooming sessions on solutions for the requested demands
  • Solving problems
  • Analyzing and improving the (backend) performance
  • Extraditing software and documentation
  • Planning and reporting on progress with Agile
  • Evaluating user quality necessities and demands and transforming these into minute specifications and software
  • Creating, developing and deploying a high-quality scalable architecture with heed to detail and concentration on security aspects

The Candidate should have:
  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science
  • More than 5 years of experience as a Senior Developer
  • Experience in working with:
  • Frameworks: Spring, CXF, Hibernate ect.
  • Test Frameworks/Tools (JUnit, EasyMock, Approval testing, SoapUI)
  • Atlassian Stack (BitBucket, Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo)
  • Docker, Amazon ECS
  • RDF triple stores / Graph databases, SPARQL
  • Agile: Scrum, Kanban and DevOps
  • Working in agile teams by using modern technologies (Java 8, Spring, REST webservices) and different kind of datastores
  • Team and detail-oriented, productive and solution-oriented comportment
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills on excellent level
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and also in a team
  • Great English skills (written and spoken)
  • Good collaboration and listening abilities
  • Faculty to work in an international, global environment
  • Responsive and flexible in managing critical support issues whenever they occur
  • Ability to follow new technologies and concepts quickly
