The main tasks for the IT Infrastructure Architect will be:

• ​Developing IT network infrastructure concepts for the Company Data Center and hybrid cloud solutions
• Assessing emerging IT technologies against commercial and strategic benefits
• Conducting product reviews, tests, proof of concepts and pilots on request from specialized departments
• Working in the “IT Architecture and Connectivity” Expertise Family as a Network Infrastructure/Cloud Architect on global projects and applicable concepts, standards and solutions.
• Advising operating units, projects and management

The Candidate should have:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
• Professional background in the role of IT network infrastructure/cloud architect (for a few years)
• Familiarity with
  • IT network infrastructure
  • IT project management
  • Internal and external presentations at conferences
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• German language skills
• Experience in network security, public cloud connections, design and operation of large IT networks and modern concepts such as SASE
