The main tasks for the Google Cloud Security Consultant will be:

• Supporting customers in adapting security management strategy with business goals
• Focusing on cloud security and security architecture
• Playing a leading role in technical discussions, directing the development of strategic cloud security frameworks, technical reviews of cloud security architecture
• Serving as a technical security consultant for both traditional and emerging security architectures.

The Candidate should have:

• Solid background in Google Cloud platform
• Understanding of cloud security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO, CSA STAR)
• Ability to deliver quality service to customers by driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems or relevant
• Cloud certification
• Technical expertise in some of the following areas:
  • Network segregation
  • Routing/switching
  • Security information and event management (siem)
  • Stateful or next generation firewalls
  • Web application firewalls
• Familiarity with
  • Intrusion detection / prevention systems (ids/ips)
  • Distributed denial of service (ddos) mitigation
  • Deceptive technologies
  • Other threat and vulnerability management capabilities
  • Ability to evaluate new Cloud and Security technologies
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge of some of the following cloud / cloud security technologies:
  • Public key infrastructure (PKI)
  • Identity and access management (IAM)
  • Network security
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • SIEM
  • Firewalls
  • IDS/IPS
• Familiarity with anti-malware, email security, web content filtering, DDoS mitigation, endpoint detection & response, patch management, configuration management, data loss protection (DLP), application security, and other relevant cloud / cloud security technologies
• Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps methodology
• Ability to recommend
  • Best Cloud computing technologies and practices
  • Cloud security measures, controls and best practices to the clients (internal and external)
• Experience in Security as a Code domain
