Seargin is looking for a Frontend Developer

Main tasks for the Frontend Developer will be:

• Participating in planning progress on daily scrum meetings
• Leading frontend improvement initiatives: helping the team and the product be up to date with the fast-changing frontend landscape
• Building clean and reusable code
• Ensure high quality of processes (DoR/DoD, QA process, Knowledge Management, CI/CD)
• Taking end to end technical responsibility (shared with the development team) for respective application, including:
  • Designing the system’s architecture according to established industry best practices and in line with infrastructure capabilities and enterprise standards in Company
  • Contributing a road map and releasing plan according to business needs
  • Analysing requirements and providing delivery estimates
  • Designing solutions for requested functionality, incl. front and test, web UI, data models
  • Developing, maintaining and deploying the front code of the application
  • Assure the quality of the product
  • Participation in deploying new releases of the system to production
  • Troubleshooting and bugging fix reported issues with the system
  • Keeping the code libraries and based technology up to date
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for the application
  • Collaborating with Product Owner, Testers and Business Users in PST time zone (not on a daily basis) and technical resources in connected systems and platforms
  • Supporting UAT activities

The Candidate should have:

• Proficiency in JavaScript including:
  • Hands-on knowledge and advocate of unit-testing:
    • Daily use of Karma + Mocha, Jasmine, Jest or similar toolchain
  • Modern async or event-based JavaScript framework like VueJS, Angular 2+, React (at least one) or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of browsers
    • Limitations of the JS browser runtime environment
    • Asynchronicity under the hood, e.g. the event loop
  • ES 6 & 7x
  • Webpack – nice to have, project specific
• Familiarity with:
  • Git
  • Design patterns
  • HTML 5, CSS
  • Bitbucket
• Openness to learning new things
• Experience in agile delivery in Scrum
• Self-organization skills, reliability and preciseness
• Readiness to have a camera ON during Team meetings
• Availability for a remote meeting after 5 pm one time per week (if gRED)
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge of:
  • Docker
  • Jenkins with CD/CI pipelines
  • Jira
  • TypeScript
  • Sass, Less
  • Automated testing tools
  • Advocate & code using the Test-First
  • Functional programming: map, reduce, other higher-order functions: lodash, ramda or equivalent utility libraries
  • Webpack
