Seargin is looking for a FinOps Engineer

The main tasks for the FinOps Engineer will be:

• Gathering and analysing data on the use of on-premises and cloud infrastructure to provide financial information
• Identifying and managing areas of cost optimisation and savings for both back-end and front-end development teams, e.g., right sizing, auto scaling, and selecting appropriate services
• Continuously monitoring, developing and improving the signposting strategies that we use to improve our visibility
• Working with IT stakeholders across the business to understand use cases and to define best practices for the purpose of the infrastructure platform.

The Candidate should have:

• Proficiency with on-premises and cloud infrastructure products and prices
• Solid knowledge of IT operating model design and best practices
• Familiarity with financial disciplines
• Experience with providing FinOps insights and advice to a broad range of different public cloud and on-premises users from different technology areas
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Basic understanding of analysis services, e.g. Power BI
