The main tasks for the DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes will be:

• Thriving in difficult space, collecting and realizing user demands to make informed suggestions for solutions
• Getting engaged in decision making as part of the project crew and then deliver approved features and enhancements individually or with initial support/guidance from Kubernetes crew
• Ensuring improvement is recorded in Azure DevOps device and any other tracking documents and all obstacles raised on daily meetings
• Delivering stable and observed cluster structure within agreed timelines
• Making sure that structure is maintained
• Finding potential future improvements to infrastructure or overall project design
• Monitoring for, reacting to and troubleshoot any problems with K3s clusters found during development and hyper-care
• Identifying and documenting procedures missing for transition to business-as-usual operations after product go-live
• Contributing to other crew initiatives varying on available capacity
• Sharing the experience with other project and Kubernetes crew members

The Candidate should have:

• Skilled in on-premise container orchestration, particularly K3s, SUSE Rancher and associated solutions
• Good understanding of and training in Linux setting and Python language
• High level of troubleshooting skills, equally independently and as a crew
• Capability and enthusiasm to guide, tutor and teach other engineers
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Familiar with Azure or AWS, experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Terraform
• Experience in VMWare Tanzu solutions
• Worked in Agile in a varied, global team
