Seargin is looking for a DevOps Engineer – Data Analytics Platform

  • Position: DevOps Engineer – Data Analytics Platform
  • Technologies: Ansible, Kubernetes, CI/D
  • Area: Project/ Maintenance
  • Localization: Remotely now/in Katowice after pandemic
  • Form of employment: permanent contract
  • Experience Level: Senior
Main tasks for the DevOps Engineer – Data Analytics Platform will be:
  • Platform Development
  • Data analytics platform components maintenance
  • Architecture improvement and experiments
  • Create cloud-ready and IaC based solutions
  • Managing monitoring for the platform

The Candidate should have:
  • Infrastructure expertise
  • Containerization skills on advanced level, minimum some experience with Kubernetes software
  • Experience in managing shared systems or deployments on a large scale
  • Operative experience with CI/CD,
  • Willing to create secure by design solutions,
  • Familiarity with networking.
  • Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
  • Superb analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 
  • Programming in python, Java or Scala and C if you don’t mind for low level optimizations
  • Improvement for clustering solutions using shared frameworks. Spark or Flink
  • Experience with distributed object storage
  • Experience in creating batch or streaming data pipelines
  • Understanding the opensource projects that will make you a guru of efficiency and innovation in the team,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Strong willingness to learn and improve yourself every day,
  • Energy and efficiency.
