Seargin is looking for a Copy Data Specialist

Main tasks for the Copy Data Specialist will be:

• Assuring data is kept safe and in compliance with business and legal needs
• Coordinating daily operations and monitoring the service together with colleagues from another team
• Taking responsibility for capacity management, performance tuning, and 3rd-level incident handling in relation to CDM services
• Working with infrastructure architects and application providers in finding the best solution for new platforms, both technically and financially
• Being responsible for computing (HCI), storing (Block and vSAN), AD, preparing backups and archiving, file services, OS, and VMware
• Participating in managing deduplication, encryption, reclamation, migration, retentions, identifying backup issues, and following up with root cause analysis
• Using his/her RestAPI and Powershell skills in assuring that our CDM and archiving solution work in all areas
• Managing different backup configurations
• Analysing existing backup environment and providing expert advice for optimisations
• Understanding functionalities of key backup components/processes

The Candidate should have:

• A broad experience in at least one backup tool (Cohesity, Commvault, Veeam, etc)
• Expertise in VMware and snapshot backup technologies
• Good understanding of MSSQL, Oracle and SAP agent-based backups
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)
