The main tasks for the Cloud Service Engineer / DevOps Engineer will be:

• ​Working in the Hybrid Cloud, which allows enterprise entities to apply innovative business models in mobility, manufacturing, smart home and other areas
• Supporting the product team of the on-premises Cloud provider in the design, implementation, maintenance and further evolution of cloud services and automation code
• Being responsible for the integration and operation of services and products as a service in the cloud (e.g., OpenShift, Monitoring) and developing product-specific microservices (e.g., glue code, service broker)
• Being up-to-date about new cloud technologies and designing continuous development of our products, organization, and implementation of the Company Hybrid Cloud Strategy
• Working with cutting-edge cloud technologies like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and OpenStack
• Taking responsibility for the fulfillment of the business demands and a close customer communication
• Being part of our worldwide Hybrid Cloud Team which consists currently of multiple product teams in Europe, Asia and Americas

The Candidate should have:

• Degree with emphasis on information technology or related qualification
• Solid knowledge of
  • Kubernetes/Docker
  • Modern cloud infrastructures based on OpenStack or VMware
• Familiarity with one or more
  • Programming languages (e.g. Java or C#)
  • Scripting (e.g. Bash or Python)
  • CI/CD (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Concourse, Artifactory)
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• In-depth professional experience in software engineering
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Knowledge in one or more IT infrastructure areas (Compute, Network, Storage)
• German language skills
