The main tasks for the Big Data Engineer will be:

• Being accountable for developing data channels in the Big Data technology stack by means of Python
• Applying the linking to new source systems:
  • Kafka
  • relational databases
  • REST API founded facilities or file founded data sources
• Safeguarding that applied artifacts are covered with automated tests and are integrated into CI/CD pipeline
• Aiding development lead to the classification of the development roadmap and the breakdown of it into user stories
• Aiding the application of a generic ETL framework by means of Python counting test automatization

The Candidate should have:

• Numerous years of Involvement in Python and individual packages/frameworks in the part of Data Engineering
• Involvement in the Hadoop ecosystem as a developer:
  • Spark
  • HDFS
  • Hive/Impala
  • Kafka
• Involvement in common interfaces to data sources and data formats
• Acquainted with by means of CI/CD toolchains
• Acquainted with the practice of relational databases and usage of SQL
• Sense of responsibility for deliverables throughout the phases of build & run in a DevOps crew
• Being active, helpful, and open to new methods
• Bringing in own ideas for technological and structural improvements
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)
