Main tasks for the Azure Architect will be:

• Support the migration of application to Azure; then rotate onto the next app
• Provide significant knowledge to the team with the usage of your experience in building apps and migrating them to Azure, including selection of services and development of application structure based on the 6R’s they have chosen for their migration technique
• Develop and improve team skills – including design and operate – applications on a cloud-based platform

The Candidate should have:

• Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Azure Databricks
  • Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Cloud Data Architecture
  • Microsoft Cloud App Architecture
• Experience in ‘data processing’-type architectures – Databricks (Spark, Deltalake and MLflow), data warehouses (Azure Synapse), data lakes/data mesh approaches and pros and cons of each
  • Superb cloud application architect who can support teams in their migration
  • Significant knowledge of Azure application architectures, Azure services
  • Understanding the concept of infrastructure-as-code approaches, and appropriate software development process
  • Practical engineering capabilities to execute on the design
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had: 

• Oracle Data Warehouse Solution Architecture
• Service Introduction
• Terraform
• Microsoft Azure DevOps Pipelines
• GitLab and/or GitHub
