2022 is here (or, as some say, “2020 too”), and we’ve recently celebrated Seargin’s 8th anniversary.
Our work at Seargin enabled the company to grow at a stellar rate. For three consequent years, The Financial Times themselves recognised our company as one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe. Seargin now has branches in the UK, Hungary, and Switzerland, and we won’t stop there.
We grew our headcount from 4 people to 122. Together with over 400 IT contractors on board, we all support meaningful IT projects around the globe.
How did we get here?
It all started with a…
…. phrase “I’ve got two fantastic sons you definitely have to meet”.
That’s how Mikołaj Granuszewski got to know Jakub Wojewski through his mother, who was renting an apartment to Mikołaj at that time.
Fast forward a few months – three people (Jakub, Mikołaj, Joanna Kinderewicz) would be assembling the desks, cleaning the working space and the driveway to what-was-their-office back then.
And so, the apartment above the garage – in the best tradition of the Silicon Valley – had become the place where four of them would be hustling to recruit the first IT experts and clients to work with.
As business was blooming, they then upgraded their working space to a house (transformed into the office), and later to the office in Gdańsk as you know it now.
Over the years, the business evolved and enriched the portfolio of the projects and our services. What once started as a business providing Recruitment Services, turned into a business offering IT Services Outsourcing, Application Managed Services, and IT Staff Augmentation.

No.1: Why Seargin, why?
The etymology of “Seargin” is simple yet sophisticated. It originates from combining two words “Search” and “Engine”. And it represents the essence of the initial business idea – building an online platform, where companies could search for pre-qualified and verified IT candidates.
That idea didn’t get picked up (probably, for the best) – it turned out that companies had surprisingly enormous budgets and no willingness to look for the IT experts themselves.
No.2: ”SAP Search Service here”
That used to be an opening line for many cold calls 8 years ago. That is because “SAP Search Service” was actually the first name of the business.
